Nine-Patch Zakka Magnet

Here is a quick and simple way to construct two nine-patch magnet blocks (see Zakka Magnets - Week 6):

Cut three 3" x 1" strips from linen and one 3" x 1" strip from three different fabrics.
Sew them together as shown:

This will give you a block 3" x 2".  Next cut this block into three 1" segments as shown:

 Finally stitch the segments together as follows:

And hey presto, you now have two 2" nine-patch blocks.
